Makakilo and Mililani: Moved and Training a new missionary

Aloha everybody!! I got transferred! after 2 short months in the Makakilo Zone in the Kapolei area, I'm now in the Mililani Zone in the Wahiawa area. AND I'm TRAINING a new missionary!! His name is Elder Gordon and he's from Mountain Green, Utah. I've never heard of it, but it sounds delightful. Elder Gordon was called to serve in Mozambique actually!! Portuguese speaking, but in the meantime, he's serving here in Hawaii. I guess I don't mind learning a little Portuguese.

New companionship: Elder Buckwalter and Elder Gordon

To celebrate/mourn my departure, my previous companion (Elder Orme) and I went to Cheesecake Factory!! I got the usual: salmon. I'm a big salmon guy if you weren't aware. I did not have room in my gut for cheesecake so I just politely nibbled at Elder Orme's cheesecake he got. I was sad to leave the area with so many people we were teaching: we had just set our Athiest investigator on a baptismal date. We had another praying about a date named Roderick. & Roderick is such a sick dude. He comes from some microscopic isles of the sea and his island only has 13 houses on it he said! the area is in good hands with Elder Orme though.

Last night, we were able to do in-person dinner, training, and interviews with President and Sister Walker at the Tabernacle in Honolulu! It was excellent. Sister Walker trained on being a proactive missionary and my interview with President was excellent. He is SO loving. The love I feel from that man is astronomical. I kid you not, he probably said "we love you, we're so incredibly proud of you, & we're so lucky and blessed to have you in this mission" at least 5 times each.

oh, I almost forgot!! GENERAL CONFERENCE. General conference, ladies and gentlemen. General conference was splendiferous (I used this word a few weeks ago and Elder Orme tried to tell me it wasn't a real word😂). We were able to watch that as a district in the high council room on a massive flat screen TV with couches and snacks. I'll just share my favorite talk from each session.

Sat Morn: Scott D Whiting
Sat Afternoon: William K Jackson
Sun Morn: Neil L Andersen
Sun Afternoon: how can i not say Jeffrey R?! 😉

Conference really was amazing & if any of you are seeking guidance, direction, happiness, hope, etc., 10/10 would recommend checking out the talks given. A huge theme of conference was enduring trials. I know that it can only be done by relying on Jesus Christ. Whoever you are, whatever you're doing with your life right now, please don't ignore God and Jesus Christ. They love you with an infinite and eternal love and they want to be a part of your life.

I love y'all & I'll see y'all in 17👀shoutout to the boyz (pic included)
